We are still in Hurricane Season/Be Emergency Ready Information for SCACS Richland Members Available

As part of a federal flood recovery grant, Richland County is distributing free emergency preparedness brochures and accompanying display holders. (See attached photograph.) We are targeting Richland County residents through businesses and organizations that serve them – and we think convenience stores are ideal locations to provide this information to residents.

The “Be Emergency Ready” campaign aims to ensure Richland County residents, especially those lacking daily access to computers, smart phones or other mobile devices, have information readily available to plan for a disaster such as a hurricane. The free brochure has information on developing a personalized disaster plan, a list of items to include in an emergency kit and numbers to call for assistance.

If you are interested in a kit (A kit includes one display holder and a supply of brochures), please contact Beverly Harris below.
