Store Manager Surprise Presentation - Hit the News

Kenneth Dale Feagin Named SC Association of Convenience Stores 2014 Store Manager of the Year

GOOSE CREEK, S.C. – June 24, 2014- Kenneth Dale Feagin was surprised at his store for being selected as the recipient of the 2014 Store Manager of the Year award by the South Carolina Association of Convenience Stores (SCACS).
2014 Store Manager of the YearKenneth Dale Feagin Named SC Association of Convenience Stores

Feagin has worked for Hess Express for eight years and has made his store one of the top stores for the company.  He is known as the “go-to” Hess manager in Charleston, Columbia, and Myrtle Beach.  His accomplishments include being a great manager of one of the highest volume sites in South Carolina, consistently hitting all financial and appearance goals, volunteering to be a “Guest Services” trainer for Hess Express, has trained more than 200 hourly employees and received his Certified Trainer License for Charleston and Myrtle Beach.  Feagin was even selected as the Region 4 “Manager of the Year” in 2013, by competing against 150 different managers around the region.  Feagin is active in Faith Christian Academy as the Assistant Football Coach and Sunday school teacher at the Turning Point Church.
Feagin is the manager of Hess Express Store #40381 (429 St. James Ave.) in Goose Creek.  His boss and Market Leader for Hess Express, Doug Rohe nominated him for this award.  An association committee selected him from a group of nominees around the state. The association represents more than 3,600 stores and managers. Feagin will receive his award at the 2014 SCACS Annual Convention in Hilton Head on July 20.

The Store Manager of the Year presentation was a surprise presentation where the Board of Directors, award committee members, and any employees of Hess Express come together from around the state to surprise Kenneth Feagin while he was at work.  The surprise was on Tuesday June 24th at 12:00 pm at 429 St. James Ave., Goose Creek, SC 29445.

Our SCACS Treasurer, Sheri Mehaffey, said it best on what type of award this is, “The Store Manager of the Year Award is like winning an Oscar in the Convenience Store Industry”

Thank you to all the committee members and board members that drove down to congratulate Kenneth Dale Feagin and Chairman, Margie Boyar putting this together.
